Katsuji Maruyama

                    Pianista and composer

 

katsuji Maruyama was born in 1969 in Osaka (Japan).

From 1984 to 1987 he was studing in music school in Horikawa in Kyoto.

After he had graduated from mentioned school he entered the University of music of Monaco (Munich, Germany) where he was in class of

Prof. Klaus Schilde. He had graduated successfully the University in 1991.

He was always among the best students of the University and took part in conserts which were organized by the University.

He was playing as solist and as accompanist with instruments and singers in Japan, Germany and Italy. 

In 1995 in addition he had diplom of piano in Conservatoire “ G.Verdi” in Milan (Italy).

Then he was developing his skills during 2 years under the direction ofLarissa Dedova (famous pianist of Conservatoire Tschaikovskof Moscow (Russia).

From 1996 to 2005 he was teaching piano in Municipal Music school of Vermezzo (Milan, Italy) and continued working with lyrical singers for study and professional training.

On 05 of May 2001 he took part in a concert and performed part of a piano with known musicians - Siro Cavalet (flute) and Daniele Pagella(violoncello).

On 18 of May 2002 he took part in concert of Astigian musischians with percussionist Michele Delmont.

Since 1997 on 2007 he was visiting a composition class in Vivaldi's conservatory in Alexandria (Italy), under the guidance of maestro

Riccardo Piacentini.

Since October 2002 till June 2003/2004 he has improved in a composition under the guidance of maestro Giacomo Manzoni in Fiesole (Italy).

On December, 25th, 2004 participated in a solo concert with Siro Cavalet(flute).

On April, 30th, 2004he had supervised over a small concert and chorus at parish church of Saint Stephan in Rosate (Italy).

On May, 29th, 2005 he had participated in preparation of a choral concert as the maestro of a piano in Rosate (Italy).

 

In 2006 K.Maruyama has created a theme to a film «Аssunta Spina» and has taken part in the international film festival in Aosta (Italy).

In 2007 he returned in Japan.

From June till September, 2008 he has participated in quality of «corepetitor» for «Sakai City Opera».

He created the following pieces of music in style of modern music:

 

·        «Amusing history» (1999) – piece of music for a statement a recitative and a clarinet (text of A.N.Afanasev). For the first time it is executed maestro Rocco Parisi;

·        "Falling" (2000) - piece of music for marimba;

·        «Sakura» (2001) - product for a statement a recitative and a piano in six hands;

·        «The Princess of the moon» (2002) – lyrical piece of music. For the first time it is executed at the International Festival of an opera and theatre in Alexandria in May 2002;

·        "Hi" - a quartetfora flute, an oboe, violinsandvioloncellos;  

·        «Two dedications» (2004) – piece of music for a clarinet and a piano;

·        «Katari» (2007) - piece of musicfor an orchestra.
